David Scholl
Since 1998, Scholl has called Stallings his home and has served the town in many capacities. He is currently serving a term on the town council with ten years of experience.
Scholl is serving “with a approachable, practical” mindset, he said, genuinely committed to doing what’s right for Stallings. He has also witnessed firsthand the town’s growth and how deeply people care about it.
We are a community that values both tradition and forward thinking.
“I understand both the opportunities and challenges our community faces,” Scholl said. “As Mayor, I can provide steady, thoughtful leadership — keeping our focus on what matters most: maintaining our quality of life, planning smartly, and making decisions that reflect our values. My goal is to make sure our town is a place we are proud to call home.
Raum Sandoval
Sandoval, a resident of Stallings since 2024, decided to run in the race and announce his campaign this week as a write-in candidate because of everything he is currently seeing from all angles of government.
“I see what’s coming, and I don’t think many local and state leaders are preparing for it,” Sandoval said. “The federal government we’ve all depended on for infrastructure, emergency response, and social programs is becoming less reliable; I believe with malicious intent, gridlock, and shrinking budgets for programs that actually help citizens. That instability is already affecting state governments, and it will eventually reach towns like ours.”
Sandoval is a native of Chicago and Bloomington, Illinois, where he calls them places that taught him what strong, diverse, and connected communities look like. His career is based on leading teams and building organizations.
Since coming here, Sandoval attended school board meetings, county commission sessions, and city council meetings across Union County. His mission in his run is to promote accountability, transparency, community resilience, and fair infrastructure.
Sandoval wants to help Stallings make local government in the town “more transparent, responsive, and data-informed, while keeping it people-centered and grounded in Stallings’ small-town values,” he said.
“My goal is to make Stallings a model for how small towns can stay true to their character while preparing wisely for the tech-driven future,” Sandoval said.
